** IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CHANGES IN BOOK ISBN NUMBERS **

ISBN-13 SYSTEM CHANGE:

  • On January 1, 2007, the publishing industry completed its transition to the new book numbering standard known as ISBN-13. This new standard establishes a 13-digit ISBN number for books as a replacement for the traditional 10-digit number that has been in use for decades. By moving to the 13-digit ISBN, the industry greatly expands the numbering capacity and therefore will alleviate numbering shortages in certain areas of the world.
  • IMPORTANT NOTICE: The titles in the ReadMeDoc inventory have been adapted to the new 13-digit ISBN format in order to support these recent changes. When searching our online catalog by ISBN, if you do not know the 13-digit number, please use the lookup tool to convert your 10-digit ISBN to the new 13-digit ISBN, otherwise your search will return no results.

For more information on the ISBN-13 changes, please visit the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) website at: http://www.bisg.org/isbn-13/index.html

If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact us.

Sincerely,

The Staff at ReadMeDoc
